Like another parent on here, I hadn't been contacted at all about my child's homework situation, items not being turned in,concerns for study etc until it was progress report time. I was told something similar by the office as well. When I tried to contact the teachers by phone, I was only called back by one of them in an "I'm-in-a-hurry" minute conversation,& was essentially told to "send an email" to discuss my concerns. The others NEVER called back. The time spent on an email can be spent on a phone call, but they would rather hide behind emails, each other, and refuse to face parent/student issues face to face or on the phone. EVERYTHING is requested to be dealt with by email. They tell you to "just follow our website" for homework and class work which would be great IF they actually filled it out & had all the info. The only reason I have met ONE teacher is after the lack of response(2 weeks of sending emails)I finally walked into the class after school. They sure nag when they want donations! Schools usually push parents to care about the kids, but this one seems bothered by the concept. Wish it was the same school that got the 2010 & earlier ratings. Won't be back next year.

The school has the capacity to be great. However, on most days there are substitute teachers running classes. This makes it very difficult to carry out the curriculum as it was intended to be delivered...by full-time teachers.

I'm rather disappointed with Temecula Middle School. The teachers didn't contact me when my student failed to turn in homework for weeks. And my email to the counselors let me know they had too many students and were too busy to help my child. I guess we only matter if we do sports or PTA.

Wonderful school, my kids have improved so well. They have always had A's and B's, but once they started here in 7th grade it was always a 4.0. The Principal was wonderful and the students are much cleaner than other schools. They also have many extra classes for record credits. If you where going to change your child's school I would send them here.

The district is highly rated -- for California. This school mirrors this. They're highly rated, they do well in testing, but compare TMS education/students to that of an east-coast middle school and we would be sorely behind. The adminstration is only interested in accolades not constructive criticism. Concerns about teachers go unheard, overlooked or teachers are justified/supported in their actions. Counselors similarly don't work to improve, they support the status quo. I would like to see support of parents who ultimately know their children far better than the administration. I'd also like to see more interaction from teachers when students aren't doing well, i.e. direct communication with parents: weekly emails or calls, etc. Students aren't mature enough to handle this on their own. I guess this would mean added responsibilities for the teachers, but it is appreciated.

This is a great school. My daughter has been in this district since kindegarden. TMS has good teachers, good kids at the school in general. I can't say enough about how good all the TVS are they are the best of the best. I just wish that the district paid there teachers more for there SAT scores which are always way above any school in Ca.
